Morial Convention Center and <a href=\"https:\/\/linkprotect.cudasvc.com\/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fnolachristmasfest.com&amp;c=E,1,BZ9j-06BPlswCXyGZX4BLID0Uj5xzEEMu-oOfip2jaiuQU4ZKF1qNuSFPzku8YeOIZtpv56oZR2oFSGoevjo2l5fBDmmx9SR-R8oxryUGFg,&amp;typo=1\">NOLA ChristmasFest<\/a> hand-delivered dozens of letters written during Jolly in July to the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees celebrated the first-ever\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/linkprotect.cudasvc.com\/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fnolachristmasfest.com%2fjolly-in-july-event-details%2f&amp;c=E,1,ageJOePNQFwW3pf-fzaP8pFBrvbYTtpFU_lxdlshUsIM5rKe2KOQyAgvgDgz7PDbWhDOO1NLdOWqE95YQ7hjpDsfuRYY5332-Ox8oLqUVglDIf5aDlk,&amp;typo=1\">Jolly in July<\/a> event this past weekend with a holiday snowball contest. Celebrity judges and attendees voted on their favorite holiday-flavored snowball created by some of the most well-known stands in New Orleans. STOP-JOCKIN SNOBALLS took home the title of \u201cKids\u2019 Favorite\u201d as the snowball flavor voted most popular by event participants, and SWEET THANGS NOLA won the crown for \u201cBest Overall Snowball,\u201d chosen by the panel of celebrity judges including Tiffany King, Megan Braden-Perry, and WGNO\u2019s Kenny Lopez.<\/p>\n<p>The night was (snow)capped off with a movie screening for the entire family to enjoy. Jolly in July guests walked away with photos with Swirly the Elf and Summer Santa, as well as memories of a night of family fun and Christmas spirit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a fun night. We were happy to host an event designed to encourage family togetherness and spread the Christmas spirit to the people of New Orleans, a little earlier than usual\u201d said Michael J. Sawaya, Convention Center President. \u201cAfter seeing all the joy-filled faces and the letters attendees wrote to our veterans, we are really already looking forward to NOLA ChristmasFest this December.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jolly in July is the summer spinoff of <a href=\"https:\/\/linkprotect.cudasvc.com\/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fnolachristmasfest.com&amp;c=E,1,0qfji3nWa9QMop9r-g4sMNkwWeKps-oefLvupJbptYd6QTKXzp0egv2zGU6JwUIX7o8Zml6dPUQt91JT5vfkZIOUlgTIh6r9UIP__cj05SMZTncbHvNVwIBSPhnN&amp;typo=1\">NOLA ChristmasFest<\/a>,\u00a0a 10-day event featuring an ice rink, a Yuletide Market and several kid-friendly holiday attractions. Dates for this year\u2019s NOLA ChristmasFest are December 21<sup>st<\/sup>-30<sup>th<\/sup>. Tickets for this year\u2019s NOLA ChristmasFest will go on sale this fall.
